The Gibson House Bed & Breakfast overlooks the peaceful landscape of New Hampshire’s pristine Upper Connecticut River Valley and offers guests a pampered escape to an artist’s realm where pleasure rules. Whether you’re an aspiring artist or an experienced watercolor artist or photographer, the Gibson House is the perfect place to be inspired. More than half of the bed and breakfast's 10,000 square foot building is public space. Every parlor and sitting room is a world in itself and provides village, garden or mountain views. Two 50-foot long porches overlook the Connecticut River Valley and Green Mountains of Vermont, insuring outdoor work and relaxation space in any weather. Our formal gardens and the picture-perfect Village of Haverhill Corner offer tranquility and visual stimulation.

Additional excursions will be included to Castle in the Clouds in nearby Moultonborough, NH. A n excursion to a hidden 'On Golden Pond' inspired lakeside for plein air painting and photography excursion is planned. You might also include a drive to Dartmouth College which is just 25 miles north.  This is one of the most sightseeable destinations in America! 

Participants in the Paint New England 2018 Retreat are responsible for arranging their own airline transportation; we recommend arrival/departure through either Boston MA or New York NY airports. Early and extended dates should be arrange at the time of booking your air transportation. 

We have included ground and regional air transportation information directly from the Gibson House website for your information. We recommend that you and any of your friends plan to share in the rental of a car or van for your use during the retreat dates.

• Cars can be rented at all three drop off locations: White River Junction, VT, West Lebanon, NH, and Hanover, NH.
