"Out on location, Mind on vacation"

Current Art Exhibit at Broadway Heights Restaurant

300 Broadway St, Chico, CA

September 2021

The second reception of 2021 for the artists of the Mind Vacation Watercolor Group was on September 9th at Broadway Heights Restaurant with live music by Steve Johnson, hors d'oeuvres and the exciting art created by Mind Vacation Artists while sheltering in place! We hope you did not miss out on this lovely event. After over a year of COVID and people being confined, we’ve all relished and reflected upon our travels from the past. This exhibit is a celebration of our recent ability to be out and about again, as well as how some artwork is reflective our inner travels through emotions and visions throughout this time of being under quarantine.

These artists, a part of an inspiring community of artists, each freely expressing creatively their own beautiful message, have contributed a diverse variety of multimedia pieces – including oils from Joyce Quaytman, Joan Smith, Janet Lombardi-Blixt, and photography from Tracey Coulter and Shawn Weibel. The trash art faces by Sue Evans are a surprisingly refreshing strong statement of design, humor, and symbolism. The gallery also includes several other watercolors and techniques from various local artists. With Pastel paintings by Carolyn Ayres, several artists including Connie Adams and Judy Richter will also provide beautiful watercolor scenes from a Mind Vacation Plein air painting workshop in McCloud Falls, California and other outdoor painting experiences depicting travels of places across the United States and globally.

Thank you to our Mind Vacation Artists!
